Electric Guitars is a Danish hard rock band founded in 2012 by guitarists Søren Andersen and Mika Vandborg. Both are esteemed session musicians—Andersen has collaborated with Glenn Hughes and owns Medley Studios in Copenhagen, while Vandborg has worked with artists like Justin Hawkins of The Darkness. Their shared passion for guitar-driven rock led to the formation of Electric Guitars, a band celebrated for its energetic performances and riff-centric sound.
The band’s discography includes four studio albums: Electric Guitars (2013), String Fever (2015), Rock’n’Roll Radio (2017), and Freewheeler (2021). Notably, Rock’n’Roll Radio featured collaborations with Jesper and Jacob Binzer of D-A-D, adding a unique flair to their sound. In 2019, they released the live album 10 Songs 10 Cities, capturing the raw energy of their European tour performances.
Electric Guitars has toured extensively across Europe and the USA, sharing stages with legendary bands like Deep Purple and Status Quo. Their live shows are known for their high-octane energy and masterful guitar work, solidifying their reputation in the rock music scene.
In 2023, the band celebrated their 10th anniversary with a special tour across Denmark, marking a decade of delivering electrifying rock music to their fans. With a blend of classic rock influences and modern sensibilities, Electric Guitars continues to captivate audiences and contribute to the vibrant Danish rock landscape.
